Montauk lighthouse – a 360 video and Panotour (final project doubleheader, Wasim Ahmad)

For the final project I created two different types of interactive experiences for people interested in visiting (or unable to visit) the Montauk Lighthouse, New York's first lighthouse located at the very end of the southern tip of Long Island. Montauk has been my "happy place" for a while, and so it was nice to come back and create an experience that one can use in a headset to feel like they were there - for instance, if you are disabled or are otherwise unable to make it up the...

Final Project: A Day At The Bio Lab 360 Video

For my final project, I did a 360 Video at the biology department in Syracuse University. I have always been curious about what the life of a scientist is since I am majoring in art. It is like a totally different world to me. Therefore, I think it is interesting to film some behind-the-scene stories in a science laboratory, and show viewers some new knowledge they usually don't get to know in daily life. I contacted Yao Xiao, one of the PhD students from the biology department, and asked for...

Final Project__ Concert Choir

This is a 360 video of my concert choir class. I spent lots of my good time in this class, and practiced hard to do my best. So I want to take a 360 video of our class and the concert as a good memory. There are two parts of this video-----Training and concert. And I make some transition to make it looks more nature. The only thing disappointed me of this video is the resolution, it is not clear and sometimes I can't even recognize faces of my friends.

Final Project: NFL QB Simulator

So with this project I aimed to show how hard it was to be an NFL QB. I wanted to make an accurate experience and while I succeed in some respects, I felt I was hindered a bit, unless I spent over 200 dollars (no animations for defenders, no facemask camera). I also felt I was held back because to put it bluntly, Unity is not a good program. Most of what I was doing was made 1000x more tedious because Unity is clunky. The movement was clunky, the controls...

Final Project: Parkinson’s Unity Walk

For my final project, I did a 360 degree video of the Parkinson's Unity Walk in Central Park on April 22nd. This walk is an annual event which brings thousands of people to NYC to raise money and awarness for Parkinson's Disease and P.D. research and for the tenth year running the walk raised more than $1 million. For my project, I aimed to not only transport people from wherever they are to Central Park to experience the walk, but also to let them go through the walk with the...

Elevator Pitch: PSA Series

I think that if I further expand upon the PSA theme used in my other assignment, I can make some very impactful content. I could use both 360 video and Unity (like Nonni De La Pena) and it can be about everyday personal issues or climate change type things.  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0BfeuHAmmIZWkZUOFBVX2dEUVk/view

Why the dinosaurs are disappeared in the earth?_Johnny’s Final project

I changed my topic little bit. I created the VR education content. Topic: Why the dinosaurs are disappeared in the earth? Story: Through Johnny’s lecture video, the viewer would understand the two hypotheses of the dinosaur extinction. First reason is the intrinsic gradualists and the second one is the extrinsic Concept: I made the lecture video talking about the dinosaur extinction (Attached file 1: video script). During the lecture, you can see the animation depending on what I address. Also, you can interact with the dinosaur toy. If you click the dinosaur...

Final Project Virtual Tour – Jason Mussman

For my final project my partner, Luke Casino, and I created a virtual tour of Split Rock Quarry using Panotour Pro.  This software is made by Kolor, and is very useful for creating virtual tours and for mapping out 360 images.  The software allows you to place hotspots throughout your images and link them to different points, either video, audio or web based.  For this project we decided it would be best to utilize the Nikon KeyMission360 Camera.  Despite the reviews the KeyMission 360 camera is very useful.  Even though we...

Schiff Final Unity Project

Ever since watching Stranger Things, I always wanted to visit the "upside down".  Once I dipped my feet into Unity, I realized that I could make that possible.  I came up with the idea that you would start out in Will's home where the christmas lights were hanging everywhere and the alphabet was painted on the wall.  You would then see an avatar, preferably someone in the show, appear and they would walk you through the experience.  Following the house, you would walk outside into the "upside down".  You would...

Final project

I decided to do a 360 video to show what would be like to eat with a bunch of friends in a Chinese restaurant, but since it's the end of the semester, I don't really able to gather 10 people for shooting even it's a eating scene. It's not feasible, so I changed my pitch to create a scene in Unity showing what would be look like during Chinese New Year festival. After I started my project, I constantly save project incase it crashes, but luckily everything was fine until the...
