Assignment 5 & 6 Tania Joseph

Assignment 5 & 6 Tania Joseph

For this assignment I really wanted to create a scene of a neighborhood. I added three characters within the scene and sound (laughing) to the woman sitting on the bench by the bus stop. I had a lot of fun creating this scene and adding different elements of from neighborhoods that I been in over time. My inspiration came from the roundabouts in the Caribbean, the houses in Georgia, and the buildings of NYC. I wanted the viewer to feel like they were in the neighborhood so I added a lot of assets that helped tie the scene together like the bus stop, street lights, buildings, fire hydrants, and trees. In the future I hope to build on this scene and add more animations to the characters.

This assignment was challenging and really pushed my limits. I struggled with the logic behind animating the people and objects. Time after time I came across assets in the store that looked appealing but did not work within the project. The easiest part of this assignment was creating the scene and adding sound to the scene.

Taking you through the process of animating the spartan. First, I  added a box collider near the car and used the middle green car next to the hot dog truck as a trigger for the spartan at the crosswalk to glide across the street and stop at the other end of the street. I did this by using playmaker and creating different states like trigger enter and i-tween move to commands.  Although this assignment was challenging seeing the final product and watching the spartan move from one point to another was very rewarding.
