Assignment #2 – 360 Video Pitch

Assignment #2 – 360 Video Pitch

Imagine being a prospective student or recent graduate on game day and the whole school is drenched in orange. Now imagine reliving that feeling on campus through a 360 video.

My video will start at a game day tailgate. The camera rig will be placed above 7 feet so you can see everything and everyone. Since there are so many people at an event like this, you wont be able to see anything if you’re average height level. Also a ghosting effect may occur if people are too close.   The lighting will be natural light since the video will take place outside during the day, hopefully at high noon.

For audio, I would like to capture natural audio from people chatting around and maybe a couple Syracuse chants. I’d also like to add some music underneath in honor of game day. Since audio is everything right now, I would like to use music that would hype up someone watching it.

I hope to give the viewer the experience of what Syracuse students feel on game day. With the excitement everyone has on a Saturday, it would be great to show people not on campus how were feeling. This specific scene would not trigger any trauma besides the jealousy someone might feel from not being here.

The biggest challenge is to make sure people are not too close to the person holding the camera. Since we would want the rig higher than the crowd, we will need someone holding the tripod. My biggest concern would be someone bumping into the DP. I don’t think people will think this is suspicious since we will all be there in the shot. We will dress in all orange to help blend in.
