The scene will be filmed in a

The angle will be from a woman’s view who works at the club.

The goal is to reflect to the public how it feels being an object of someone else’s pleasure in a club and to acknowledge the effect of this position.

THE SCENE:

Will be shooting in a closed area (the club), there will lots of movement close to the camera.  The camera will be at an average human height, but at a low angle to emphasize the inferior feeling of the women who work there.

EXPERIENCE

I hope that my scene will address the horrible feeling of women that need to use their bodies as tools to make money.

This is an experience that everyone should get because it hopefully will decrease the occurrence of men visiting these clubs.

My hope is that the people who will watch the scene will not support gentlemen’s club.

I want the viewer to observe the feelings of inferiority and embarrassment.

I can assume that females who watch the video will react differently than males; it will probably be more difficult and powerful for them. Males will enthuse in the beginning and will maybe laugh, but will slowly understand the situation.  I also assume that the people who avoid the video will be those who have or had a connection to the issue of abuse.

STORY DISCOVERY

The protagonist of the story is the stripper.

This woman’s life turned to the wrong way and led her to work in a gentlemen’s club.  Women in this situation feel vulgar treatment every day and most of the time they are motivated by survival reasons.

The topic of the film is about the phenomenon of abusing human beings like tools, about inequality in the sexual and economic aspects.

The story moves forward by the persons that will be there, by their interaction and the action.

I think that the audiovisual anchors will be the dialogue between the females and males.

The empathy of the experience should be toward the female who works there.

WHERE IS MY HEAD?

I think that the most impactful place will be at the sitting area, close to the guys. I would like to create a scene in which the viewer will feel like he is sitting on a guy who stares at him in a really inappropriate way. Slowly the viewer will understand that he is the issue and everyone is looking at him and call him to come.

Logically the tripod will hold the 360 rig.

There is no reason that I will be at the scene, but we may need a cooperator who will be close to the rig and will act as a random guy in the club.

LIGHTING

Indoor lighting – the light will be exactly like it is in reality.

AUDIO

There are two options for audio. The first is to record the natural sound:  the music and the conversations between the customers and the women, while will help viewers to get into the scene.

The second option is to interview one of the woman and to combine it with the visual.

SAFETY

Since my idea talks about a very controversial topic and these types of clubs have restricted rules, the scene should not be filmed secretly. The approach I am going to take is to have a dialogue with the owner of the club and explain to him the importance of the project and how I want to create empathy towards the women that work in those clubs, by showing their side of the scene and how they see the public. Since the filming would not be hidden, there are no measures to take to ensure that the 360 rig or I am safe. On the other side, I will make sure that the filming does not interrupt the work of the women in the clubs.
