Shantz Assignment 5 and 6

Shantz Assignment 5 and 6

For this assignment, I had a lot of trouble getting Playmaker to work with a lot of the models I tried to use, especially the ones off of Mixamo. I finally realized that none of the animations I was trying to use were legacy animations, and when I finally realized that some of the animations started to work. However, most of them still did not. I think that this is because I was using free animations/models, and I also think that I was not importing all of the data needed to trigger the animations on these specific models

My final scene ended up being a short battle between two roman soldiers. One runs towards the other, strikes him with his sword, and slays his opponent. The winner lets out a cheer and raises his sword in victory, although I do not think that you are able to hear the cheer in the QuickTime recording. From this assignment, I learned that it takes a lot of patience to program with Unity, as there is a lot of trial and error to figure out what small thing you are doing wrong that is holding up your whole scene. In the end it was really satisfying to get things to work, but it usually took much longer than I thought it would even for a simple scene like this one.
