360 VR pitch

360 VR pitch

I am a filmmaker and photographer and as I continue to learn and get better at each medium the idea of hosting and curating my own gallery has become more enticing.  The only problem is renting venues is expensive, but I recently saw someone do a virtual exhibit of their paintings that wasn't 360 VR, but you could control the angle of view by clicking on different parts of the screen and walking to parts of the small 3D exhibit.  I think it be interesting to try something similar to that but in a small living room/bedroom using the 360 cameras.

The artist could set up their work in the room, place the camera in middle, and add music to give the viewer an intimate view of the work.  The only downside is the quality of the 360s cameras and poor lighting may not do the artwork justice.  Also if you wanted to screen a short film/video piece the curator could possibly project the video onto a wall and place the camera in front of it to give the VR viewer a theater feel.
