For my Independent learning I choose to Focus on the Oculus app "Quill." Quill is very similar to the app SKETCH in that you're able to full immerse yourself within the work of art you are creating or a work of art someone has created within the application. The difference between SKETCH and Quill is that Quill was created with the intention of animating and telling storys through these works of art created within the app.

Quill allows you export the characters or sketches drawn into an .fbx format so that you are able to build and place these animations within unity or any other Virtual Reality software that supports the files. As you can see in the clips I've posted above, Quill also allows you to capture immersive video within app.. which in my opinion was more affective than exporting the .fbx files. The screen captures have a range of resolution options that allow you record the experience in a format that can be adapted for both small scale or bigger scale 2D and 360 viewing. The issues I often came across with downlading the .fbx files for the purpose of integrating the animations into Unity was either that the plugin needed for this integration often crashed the program or that the textures/material of the model did not fully transfer, leaving the animated model in the scene either invisible (able to see its shadow only ) or in unfinished state.
