In-Class Presentation on Coachella VR Experience by Amanda Silvestri

AmandaSilvestri_CoachellaVR_Presentation In this presentation, I talk about the brand new VR app from Coachella for the 2016 Festival taking place in Coachella Valley, California from April 22 to April 24 this year. The app serves as an accompaniment to those attending Coachella as well as giving access to those who are not at the festival to experience the sights and sounds of Coachella.

Pacheco VR Presentation 4/14

I will be presenting on "Zero Latency," a VR gaming company in Australia. They've hatched a plot to create "IRL VR" with a bunch of PlayStation Moves and some Oculus Rifts. My presentation has a couple videos in it that aren't viewable in Slideshare's web platform, but if you download the presentation and play it through Powerpoint, you'll get the full experience. You can find the slides here: http://www.slideshare.net/secret/tOJZoE9L62TbFv Just my last ditch effort to turn VR Storytelling into a gaming class.

Final Project Pitch-The Endless Corridor

Speaking of the huge change VR may cause,  the first thing I can think of is horror scene. We always watch horror movies or play horror video in front of the screen, which means, we are always bystander. So, what if we can experience the horror ourselves? My goal is to make an endless corridor where the story happens. You will experience a nightmare, finding someone is chasing you and want to tell you something but you can't see him. You need to find the answer of what't going on by...

Waves of Grace Presentation

I completely forgot to write a post on my VR Research Presentation y'all, my apologies! I am very interested in documentary and journalistic 360 video work,  so I decide to focus my research on "Waves of Grace" from the United Nations and Vrse. It is a poignant 360 piece about life after Ebola in Liberia told from the perspective of an Ebola survivor, Decontee Davis. Waves of Grace Nguyen_VR_Presentation Version2

Dreams of Dali Presentation

Dreams of Dali is a VR experience created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners, a digital media ad agency. It's their first foray into the VR world, and it's a pretty great starting point. The VR environment is based on Dali's "Archaeological Reminiscence of Milet's 'Angelus'," and is designed to feel like the audience is walking around Dali's mind, using the painting as a jumping off point. You can take a look at the trailer for Dreams of Dali here, or see the full 360 video here. I also referenced The...

Final Project Pitch-Escape from the island

https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1cnRGo7gdy8cM6YtoUt6sgHkhDIwpwxQajrsx3cx6w_k/edit#slide=id.g10e77ed073_0_66 The final project I designed is a mystery game which will be built up in Unity. The story is simple but interesting. A middle-age man wakes up in a strange island only find out that his car was crashed and the sea level is rising up. And the FIRST PERSON--the player's task is to help him escape from that island. So how to solve the puzzle? There are several objects scattered around, and I've built up clues for them by using colliders and triggers. Once they reach a certain...

Final VR Pitch- Interactive Museum

Hi! My name is Chazz Inniss.  My idea for my final project would be to create an interactive learning experience.  I want to create a museum exhibit.  VR has the potential to expand beyond basic entertainment, it has potential to be an amazing educational experience.  As technology advances so do our education methods.  There is a void that can be filled with interactive education.  My goal is to create a world in Unity that is an interactive museum.  I'm not too sure what the museum will be yet.  I am...
