Original Concept:

My 360 Video idea is to put the camera on a soccer field to capture the Women’s Soccer Team. I want to convey the feeling of the starting formation before the game when they are warming up and stretching. In addition, I also want to display the feeling of the bench players, the coach and of course the crowd. To do this, I'll split the video into several scenes:

Scene One -  Warming Up

◦ Camera Position - Position the camera on the grass where the players perform the warm up

◦ Scene Purpose - presenting the actresses - each player in her line will present herself and her role (total 11 players)

Scene Two - The Start of the Game

◦ Camera Position - I will position the camera between the crowd and the players.

Scene Purpose - Exposing the viewer for the exciting opening of the game - Both from the audience and from the players.

Scene Three - The Game

◦ Camera Position - I will position the camera next to the bench where the coach and the bench players are located.

◦ Scene Purpose - Exposing the viewer  to the coach's instructions, to the players' cheering from the bench and also to see the players on the filled accordingly.

As a soccer player I know what it's like to be on the field or on the bench. That’s why I want to share this feeling with the viewers. I want the viewers to hear what the coach and the players are saying to each other and how the players play together in order to get a good team work.

I am still working on getting to the soccer team here in Syracuse University. I will let you know if my request to join the group has been approved! Either way I do not think it would be a problem to shoot the video on the soccer field.

Revised Concept:

Scene One -  Coach Introduction/ Warm Up

◦ Camera Position - Position the camera on the grass where the players perform the warm up

◦ Scene Purpose - Presenting the players/ coach

Scene Two - Soccer Practice

◦ Camera Position - I will position the camera between players.

Scene Purpose - Exposing the viewer to various drills- as if the viewer was an active participant

Scene Three - The Game

◦ Camera Position - I will position the camera in the stands

◦ Scene Purpose - Exposing the viewer  to the coach's instructions, to the players' cheering from the bench and also to see the players on the field accordingly- as if the viewer is in the stands and can absorb each aspect

With a little adversity at the game, we believe we achieved capturing the Women’s Syracuse Soccer Team. At the game, certain credentials were needed to get on the field up close and personal, however we figured out various ways to get new shots. It was a challenge, but it was interesting to watch the game in 360 from a fan’s perspective. We heard more; we felt the excitement; we were part of the action. The practice was incredibly fun! We were able to get more shots we intended to, and speak with the coach to receive his opinion. It was a thrilling process, and we are confident we portrayed the team in a positive, fun, competitive light.
