<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bBbvvmCUvzg" frameborder="0" gesture="media" allow="encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> This final project was incredibly enjoyable. I was able to make a fun, intricate scene come to life: Epcot Center. I had this idea to portray Epcot when my original idea of Magic Kingdom became too difficult to develop with limited free assets. Therefore, I decided to come up with my version of Epcot, Around the World. I decided to pick five of the nine countries in Epcot that are truly landmarks on Earth- the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Italy, and China....

Marisa Joachim Assignment 6- Justice League

This week I decided to create a chaotic scene: Justice League vs. first responders. Here the building is on fire, the policeman is yelling at Superman, and the firewoman is yelling at Flash! Hulk is attempting to save civilians by standing on the policecar. Spider-Man is climbing his way up the building to save people, as physicians and EMTs run into the building as well.

Marisa Joachim- Playmaker Assignment

This week I decided to create Lego World in Unity. I found various assets on websites (lego-men, cars, house, trees). I then added Playmaker to the lego-men. First, one lego goes to the car and "turns it on." I added a car door and car ignition sound. Next, the other lego enters the house. I added a house door open and close sound, too. I tried to make the car move, however the car and lego-man are separate. I also tried to have the door to the house open...

Assignment 4: Marisa Joachim

This assignment was definitely a challenge. In my head, the scene seemed more intense and creating it was easier to do. First, I wanted to create a winter wonderland, however I found the assets available in the Asset Store to me did not allow for that to happen. Then, I figured I would switch seasons and create a beach scene.   The sand and textures felt more natural. The palm trees and grass shrubbery were exciting to add. In addition, the free floating fish and animated whales added character...

Assignment 3: Women’s Syracuse Soccer- 360 Video Joachim/Musan

Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XW-yohrc3c&feature=youtu.be Original Concept: My 360 Video idea is to put the camera on a soccer field to capture the Women’s Soccer Team. I want to convey the feeling of the starting formation before the game when they are warming up and stretching. In addition, I also want to display the feeling of the bench players, the coach and of course the crowd. To do this, I'll split the video into several scenes: Scene One -  Warming Up ◦ Camera Position - Position the camera on the grass where the players...

Marisa Joachim FST 222: Introduction to Culinary Arts Culinary theory and practice. Laboratory intensive hands-on preparation and practice. That is the course description for Syracuse University’s very own Chopt.  Each Wednesday the student chefs cook something new: mac n’ cheese, salsa, chicken, and more. Assignment 1 – My VR Experience

The sky is the limit. Throughout each VR experience my innovative juices flowed excitedly. I kept thinking about the futuristic opportunities; I kept thinking, “the sky is the limit.” My journey began with the Vive. I placed the headset on, tightened three straps, and immediately transported into Solitary Confinement. I witnessed the story of an ex-con, through the eyes on an ex-con. As we stood in his cell, his small space became my small space. I felt like I was able to turn the sink on my right on and...
